⚽ Atlanta Beltline Fest: A World Cup Celebration Spanning 17 Miles of Trail

Atlanta is gearing up for a summer full of international excitement — and the fun won’t be confined to just the games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In fact, a new citywide festival is taking shape that will stretch along nearly the entire length of the Beltline trails during FIFA World Cup 2026™.

🎉 What Is Atlanta Beltline Fest?

The Atlanta Beltline Fest is a free, multi-weekend celebration planned to coincide with the World Cup in June and July 2026. Rather than a single festival site, organizers are turning the Beltline’s 17 miles of open paved trails into a series of interconnected watch parties, markets, live music spots, cultural showcases, and pop-ups.

This spirited activation will span the Eastside, Southside, and Westside Trails — with aims to make much of the Beltline itself a destination for visitors and locals alike during major match days.

📍 Key Hub: Pittsburgh Yards

One major anchor for the festivities will be Pittsburgh Yards along the Southside Trail at 356 University Ave. This spacious site is already being positioned as a central hub for the Beltline marketplace, community activity, and kickoff events. A special launch gathering is planned there on June 14, just ahead of the World Cup schedule.

🎶 What to Expect

While exact festival dates and full programming details are still being finalized, the Beltline Fest experience is shaping up to include:

  • Live music and performance stages

  • Community watch parties during World Cup matches

  • Pop-up markets featuring local makers and merchants

  • Family-friendly activations and art installations

  • Food vendors and cultural engagement spaces across multiple neighborhoods

The idea is simple: to harness the global energy of the World Cup and spread it along a network that connects dozens of Atlanta communities, encouraging foot traffic, local business engagement, and cultural sharing.

🚴 Getting There

With events scattered along miles of trail, organizers are encouraging visitors to explore the Beltline by bike, scooter, or on foot. They also recommend using MARTA, especially from stops like Inman Park, to help ease traffic. A new planned bus rapid transit (BRT) route — the MARTA Rapid A-Line — is also expected to begin service soon, linking downtown directly toward the Southside Trail.

🌍 A Festival for Everyone

Between June 15 and July 15, Atlanta will host eight World Cup matches — including group play, knockout rounds, and a semifinal — bringing fans from across the globe. The Beltline Fest seeks to offer visitors more than just a game-watching experience, turning Atlanta’s beloved trail system into a cultural corridor of celebration and discovery.

Whether you’re a lifelong soccer fan or simply looking for a vibrant way to experience Atlanta this summer, the Beltline’s transformation into a World Cup celebration destination promises to be an unforgettable part of the city’s summer calendar.
