A New Mountain Bike Park Is Coming to Atlanta’s Westside — Here’s What to Know

Westside Atlanta is about to get a major outdoor upgrade.

Plans are moving forward for a new mountain bike park in the Blandtown neighborhood, just west of Midtown. This 20-acre park is part of the growing Atlanta BeltLine network and will transform a former industrial area into a destination for cyclists and outdoor lovers.

The project is backed by The Conservation Fund, working with the City of Atlanta and Park Pride, and it's designed to bring more green space and recreation opportunities to an area that has seen a surge in development in recent years.

What’s Planned

The proposed design includes:

  • 3 miles of bike trails for all skill levels

  • Dirt jump areas

  • Pump tracks

  • A skills zone

  • Elevated trails and wooden features

  • Walking trails and gathering spaces

It will be Atlanta’s first dedicated mountain bike park, built with input from the local biking community.

Why It Matters

This isn’t just about outdoor fun — it’s a smart move for real estate, too.

The new park sits near the future BeltLine Northwest Trail, and it’s expected to boost home values and bring even more attention to Atlanta’s Westside. With continued investment in green space and infrastructure, neighborhoods like Blandtown, Knight Park, and Howell Station are becoming some of the city’s most desirable areas for homebuyers seeking both city access and outdoor amenities.

What’s Next

Construction is expected to begin in 2025, with funding from a mix of public and private sources. If everything stays on schedule, the park could open by late 2026.

Thinking of Buying in Atlanta’s Westside?
This new bike park is just one of many projects that’s reshaping the area. If you're looking for a home near the BeltLine or want to invest in a fast-growing neighborhood, now’s the time to explore your options.
